PNG transparency

If you later export that image as JPG, JPEG cannot store transparency. The WebP to JPG tool flattens transparent areas onto white.

Quality and file size

A PNG of a flat logo may already be small. Converting it to WebP will not always shrink it, and it should not be recompressed just to hit an arbitrary number.
