Resize by percentage or max edge

This page is for relative scaling. It starts in percentage mode so you can shrink a batch by the same factor, or switch to max width / max height to cap the longest edge. Aspect ratio stays locked unless you unlock it. Upscaling stays off unless you allow it.

How to use

  1. Add one image or a batch.
  2. Use Percent to scale by a factor, or Max width / Max height to cap an edge.
  3. Choose output format and optional target size, then convert.
  4. Download each file or a ZIP for the batch.

Key benefits

  • Percentage batches

Apply the same scale factor to many photos of different sizes.

  • Max-edge control

Cap width or height so large camera photos fit a layout without picking every pixel size by hand.

  • Compress after resize

Quality or target-size compression runs on the transformed pixels.

Percentage and max edge versus exact pixels

Use percentage when every file should shrink by the same amount. Use max width or max height when photos must fit under a limit such as 1600 px.

For a specific pixel box (for example 1200 by 800), open exact width and height resizer. For a ready 1000 px long-edge preset, open resize to 1000 px.

Batch resizing

The same settings apply to every selected file. Max-width mode is useful when photos have different sizes and you only want a ceiling.

For a ready-made 1000 px width limit, open resize to 1000 px.

Privacy

Resizing stays in the browser. Nothing is uploaded to finish the job.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I resize by percentage?

Yes. This page starts in Percent mode. Pick a preset such as 50% or enter a custom value.

What is the difference from Image Resizer?

Resize Image focuses on percentage and max-edge scaling for batches. Image Resizer focuses on exact pixel width and height.

Can I convert while resizing?

Yes. Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF as the output format.

Does resize upload my images?

No. Processing runs on your device.
