Make a passport size photo

Starts with a 3.5×4.5 crop, JPG output at 276×354 pixels (about 3.5×4.5 cm at ~200 DPI), and a 50 KB target. Many Indian exam and job portals use a similar band—always match the size written on your form.

How to use

  1. Add a clear face photo with a plain background if possible.
  2. Adjust the passport crop so the face is centered and shoulders fit.
  3. Convert. The tool resizes to 276×354 and searches for quality under 50 KB.
  4. Download the JPG and confirm the file size before uploading to the portal.

Key benefits

  • Crop, size, and KB together

One flow covers the ratio, pixel size, and common 50 KB ceiling.

  • Form-oriented defaults

JPG, metadata stripped, and resize allowed so the target is realistic.

  • Private

Your photo never leaves the browser.

Dimensions and file size

276×354 is a compact digital size (about 3.5×4.5 cm at ~200 DPI) that fits many 50 KB portals. For a print-oriented 300 DPI size (413×531), use Resize to 3.5×4.5 cm.

Need only the byte limit? Use Compress to 50 KB. For signatures, open Signature Resize.

FAQ

Common questions

Is 276×354 exact for every passport?

No. Print and portal rules vary by country and form. Use these defaults as a starting point and override width, height, or KB if your instructions differ. For 3.5×4.5 cm at 300 DPI, open Resize to 3.5×4.5 cm.

Will the file be under 50 KB?

The page searches for the highest quality at or under 50 KB. If the crop is still too detailed, allow more resize or tighten the crop.

Can I keep PNG?

You can change the output format, but most portals want JPG. Stick with JPG unless the form says otherwise.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Cropping and compression run in your browser.
